Run by the Treads club. A new Venue for 2007, expect some undulations that might suprise you and a mainly grass park surface with wooded sections.

Facilities: None before 7pm, but from then the Rugby club should be open for changing facilities and drinks.
Don't rush home, stay and have a Shandy or two whilst the prizes are handed out in the bar.
Parking Info: Tarmac
Race Terrain: Basically round a field with some diversions into bushes, and one off camber wooded technical lumpy section. Its fast and bumpy, if you can't corner at speed your going to learn tonight. Actually alot more fun than it sounds, you can see all the race unfold in front of you.
Lap Length: 1.5 to 2 mile, so you'll be doing quite a few
Lap Profile: Think Rugby field and a few banks.

Directions: From North M/Ways. M6, take Junction 1 and follow A426 into Rugby past new shopping complex and Tesco. Bear left at island after Ford garage and uphill into town centre part Police station. Straight on over R/bout by town hall, along dual carriageway (ring road) to lights on inner ring. Left here and 1st left exit in front of Rugby School. At first set of lights, right (signposted Hospital) into Barby Road. Continue to end, past Hospital, to T-Junction with B4429. Left onto B4429 and after 200metres St. Andrews RFC is on the right.

From M1 North or South. Leave at exit 18, to join A5 briefly. At first roundabout by new industrial estate bear left. Continue straight to 2nd island by 'Eddie Stobart' warehouse. Straight across between garage and pub on A428 towards Rugby. After approx. 3 miles enter built up area and as road curves to the right towards Rugby town centre you will see public house "The Paddox" in front. Take left turn onto B4429 signposted 'Dunchurch' and M45. Over speed bumps and past school, St. Andrews RFC is on the left 200 metres past the school. From the East. A14 then pick up A5 towards J18 of M1 and follow directions as per M1 route.

From West. Pick up A45 from Coventry and Warwick towards Dunchurch. At crossroads in Dunchurch turn left towards Rugby. At first island (near Sainsburys) bear right onto B4429, continue on B4429 for approx. 1 mile and St. Andrews RFC is on the right just after the crossroads (where hospital is signposted left).

Parking Info: Follow a graded road and park as directed alongside the road edge. Heavy vehicles will get stuck if there's a lot of rain.....as in 2004

Definitely the flattest of the locations used, farm tracks and wooded double track. Sloppy if wet but no clogging.
Lap Length: 6km course in 2004, probably shorter with more woods past yrs.
Misc: Added for the first time to the series in 2003

The Contribution to the land owner by the organisers gets donated to the Kettering Special Baby Care Unit.
Directions: Location is off the A43 between Corby and Stamford. (turn left at Deene from Corby direction) Head for Harringworth, going through Laxton.
course has changed again, its now a . The race will be Opposite Ferrels Wood as shown here. This could be where the car parking will be, or just slightly North at Harringworth Lodge, follow the signs.

Alternatively head in from the back of Corby (after Rockingham Motor Speedway) via Gretton and Harringworth for a traffic free back route.

Facilities: Country Park Visitor centre could be open. To be confirmed.
Parking Info: Plenty of hard standing.
Race Terrain: Its a country park with some interesting almost BMX type wooded sections, a 4 mile fun lap is possible if conditions allow.
Voted top venue of them all for 2006.
Lap Length: 2 - 4 miles
Misc: Note: this is normally a non-cycling park do not practice here before the race thank you.
Directions: Follow local signs from A45 Irchester A509 exit at Wellingborough, take the B570 Irchester turning at the mini roundabout and follow the signs for the main entrance / visitor centre on your Left.

Facilities to be confirmed. Ample hard standing parking.

Grass tracks and a tight twisty wood area before diving into the quarry, which has the potential to be as tough as the organisers feel your ready for.

The centre is conveniently situated within 30 minutes of Peterborough, Northampton and Leicester. While being private and secluded, West Lodge Rural Centre is within easy reach of all major routes, being one mile from the A6, five minutes from the A14 and twenty minutes from both the A1 and M1.

Directions from the M1 north bound, Northampton, Oxford

Take junction 15 off the M1 and follow the signs for A508 Wellingborough. Exit the A508 at the A43 to Kettering slip road. Follow the A43 to Kettering. At the A14 roundabout on the outskirts of Kettering turn left onto the A14, signposted M1/M6. After approximately 2 miles turn off onto the A6 at Rothwell heading for Market Harborough and Desborough. Go through Rothwell and Desborough on the A6. As you exit Desborough turn right onto the B669 towards West Lodge Rural Centre and Stoke Albany. After a quarter of a mile turn right and the entrance to West lodge is a quarter of a mile further on the left.

Directions from the M1 south bound

Take junction 19A and follow the A14. Travel along the A14 for approximately 16 miles and turn off on to the A6 (Rothwell and Market Harborough). Follow the signs to Desborough. As you exit Desborough turn right onto the B669 towards West Lodge Rural Centre and Stoke Albany. After a quarter of a mile turn right and the entrance to West lodge is a quarter of a mile further on the left.

Directions from Cambridge and the A1

Get on to the A14 and follow the signs towards Kettering, M1 and M6. Go past Kettering and exit the A14 slip road sign posted A6 Rothwell and Market Harborough. Go through Rothwell and Desborough on the A6. As you exit Desborough turn right onto the B669 towards West Lodge Rural Centre and Stoke Albany. After a quarter of a mile turn right and the entrance to West lodge is a quarter of a mile further on the left.

PLEASE NOTE the entrance to the course is now just off the A426 dual carriageway as you come off the J1 of M6. Its almost opposite the roundabout by the big ALDI. It will be signposted.
From the M6 junction go straight over the first roundabout then at the second one double back on yourself to return on the otherside of the dual carraigeway and take the Sharp left farm entrance which will be signposted.

You can still get in the old way but the new entrance is easier and not so rough - its sign posted as LODGE FARM and you go over a cattle grid.

Parking Info: Difficult entrance if wet, field parking, please shut all gates.
Race Terrain: Short course,very tight and twisty often rooty singletrack within two wooded sections where the riders with good skills can grab lots of time over other riders.
Includes open climbs and descents dependant on direction on the night. Skinny tyres when raining required as is some good balance.
Lap Length: About 2 miles but can be for longer with a third wood area.

Directions: From M6 junc 1 head for Rugby and at the 3rd roundabout which is the first big one (signposted Mr Kipling roundabout) take the 3rd exit - Left, and head for SWIFT VALLEY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE.
Take the 2nd or even the 3rd Right (Cosford Lane) and proceed through the Industrial Estate in the Cosford Village direction. At the end of lane roundabout follow the road on the right signposted Cosford.
The Race entrance is via a gate on the Right just on the Sharp LH corner before the village. Proceed down track and over river bridge to the parking area. NOTE: If very wet you might need to leave the vehicles on this side of the river bridge, but the farmer is adding hardstanding all the time.
Proceed with Caution if conditions are wet, and close all gates behind you especially over the river.

Yes you can ride up over and around a golf course! It will be fast and fun.

Welland Valley CC have put a lot of effort into this and the Golf club are really keen for us to use the venue to the full so Please, Please support all their efforts.

* Full use of the club house including showers and changing area
* Bar for all drinks and tea/coffees
* Hot and cold food including full meals available afterwards

So please come along, and bring a few spectators with you to a beautiful location, great views of the race. Don’t rush off, stay afterwards for a bit of a social with us for something to eat and drink at good prices.

The entrance is via the main golf course entrance which is well sign posted.

Parking Info: Hard standing, from a narrow entrance, but watch for height restrictions.
Race Terrain: Large hill, grassland and a few tight singletrack sections and some technical downhill parts. Sharp climbs often figure with the finishing stretch a killer.
Lap Length: About 2.5 miles
Misc: Did you know radar was first tested here, without which life could have been very different.
Directions: From the M1 head for Daventry from Junc 16, Approach Daventry on the A45.
Turn onto the Eastern Daventry Bypass (A425), which is the first roundabout as you approach the town. See that big hill with TV masts on you can see, thats where you are heading. At the next roundabout Take the 3rd Exit alongside the Industrial estate,(garage on hill side) and follow the road for @200 metres. take the Borough hill access road on the Left (1st left) then parking is at the Parking/Picnic sign on the map. Be carefull of overhead barriers if your bikes are on the roof.

From the North of Daventry follow the Eastern ring road (A425) to the A45 and look out for the hill. go across the huge roundabout onto a small section of dual carraigeway. Over the next mini-roundabout (leisure lakes access here on Right) and at the next roundabout take the first exit. Entry is on the Right as above.

Race Terrain: The course includes tight singletrack woodland, stubble field, gravel path, grassed quad-bike circuit (flat), and a very testing hilly off-road quarry section. The woodland is single-track, the remaining open sections give ample opportunity for overtaking.

Once through Welford (watch for speed camera) take the 2nd left (sign posted Sulby)and follow narrow road to a T junction with Sibbertoft road. Turn right and look for off road entrance on the left not long after.

From North Leave M1 at junc 20 A4034 and follow to Husbands Bosworth. (speed camera in North Kilworth) Take A5199 south signposted Northampton in the village and then take first major left to sibbertoft direction. Entrance is on the left not long after the first right turn.

Facilities: Full Toilet facilities, changing rooms and Showers but no food.
Parking Info: Hard standing.
Race Terrain: Around the banking and service areas of this concert venue. Some tricky sections in the tight and off camber singletrack sections too. Definitely one where the more skillfull bike handler can pull some distance on the fit lads. Really slippery when wet but never bogging.
Lap Length: 2.5 to 3 miles.
Misc: You can road race here all summer if you wish too.
Directions: National Bowl Milton Keynes.
From east and M1 JUNC 14, follow A424 WEST untill you cross the A5 Bridge (dual carriageway) then take right at next roundabout. Entrance is on the left.
From North leave A5 AT A424 Junction then take first exit on roundabout. Then left again at next onto A424. take right at next roundabout. Entrance is on the left. Note gates will possibly be shut before 5.30 pm.

I always find it by going in (or getting to ) H4 Childs way and then drop down on V5, easy as pie.

Race Terrain: Waterside tracks, field trails and climbs and some very loose gravel track descents. Fast and Furious
Lap Length: About 2.5 miles
Misc: Bring some wine or beer for the End of year Bar-B-Q, and a fleece.
Directions: Well signposted off the A508 Northampton to Mkt Harboro road.
North &East Use the A14 - take the A508 Northampton turning and head South on the A508 Once past Brixworth look out for signs on a roundabout for the Pitsford water/Brixworth country park

From the South/West - Note their is no exit to the A14 from the south M1 If on the M1 use junc 15a or 16 (A43/A45) and follow the Sixfield stadium directions towards Northampton. Then directions for Market Harboro A508 to approach Brixworth.
