An almost complete race calendar is out, 11 rounds again for 2008

Due to changes at Pitsford this has been lost as the season opener, the final round prizegiving could possibly be there but is to be confirmed. Other dates marked (TBC) and the return to Wakeley woods after 10 years are still to be fully confirmed but look good so far.

Good news is that there are no Entry price increases from 2007, Entry forms will be available for series entries when all dates have been fully confirmed.

Just to bring everyone up to date.

Bulwick race has changed dates, it will now be on June 6th.

Because of this move, I might ask Rugby to move theirs forward to July 25th and move my 2 into August.
BECAUSE:-

Wakeley Woods WILL NOT take place, as Burghley House, who owns the wood has said NO.
Brixworth Country Park is DEFINATELY OFF as a venue for this year.
I had a meeting with Chris Haynes (Head ofservices for the country parks) and Nicola (Head Ranger) at Brixworth. They have told me that they want to discourage cycle riding within the park itself and get the public to ride where they should, on the reservoir track, so but not allowing the races this year, they want to see if it has any affect on the park.
As a compromise, they have allowed me to use Fermin Woods, Nr Brigstock, on the understanding I get the Forestry Commission to let us use the main woodland behind it.
I now have members in talks with the Forestry Commission.

And Finally, I haven't done the entry forms yet, because I haven't heard back form the NFU about the insurance. Once they have confirmed coverage for this year, all paperwork will be sent out.

I will keep you all informed as and when I know more.
