Fridays (20th July) Race at Delapre Abbey park.

Hopefully everyone has caught up with the change of venue, its not at Irchester but at DELAPRE PARK NORTHAMPTON. please inform anyone you know who does not have net access.

A note from organisers Treads;

There is plenty of parking in front of Delapre Abbey which is accessed from the driveway at the bottom of London Road (A508) heading into Northampton from the A45. The Abbey Tea Rooms has agreed to stay open for the evening so there'll be Sandwiches, Jacket Spuds and some top cake available before after and during the race, so please use this facility if you can, thanks. ( It's been a bit of a rush to replace Irchester, but we think you'll enjoy this one just as much. See you all there.

Not trying to tempt fate BUT.......................how will we know if tonights race is going ahead or not? The weather in Kettering right now (13.25 hours) is foul, if it's half as bad in Northampton and the race is called off how will Treads be advising people...or am I just being a scaremongerer? See you there unless we hear different!

Unbelievable, these guys are having no luck. Just been on the phone to me and Neil to spread the word that its dropped several inches in Northampton and forecast to carry on all evening and the course is already resembling a river in many places.
Apart from the fact that the course is un-rideable they dont want to wreck the park on this first event there.
PLEASE phone or inform as may other riders/mates as possible to stop any wasted journeys
